Christine M. Campbell, PhD

Dr. Campbell is Associate Provost for Continuing Education at the Defense Language Institute, Presidio of Monterey, California. Her research interests are language assessment and language anxiety.
She has been invited to write chapters for a number of books, including “Articulation and Assessment,” with co-author Theresa Austin, in New Visions in Foreign and Second Language Education (2004), a discussion rooted in the New Visions movement housed at the National K-12 Foreign Language Resource Center at Iowa State University and coordinated through the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages. She is also co-author of the “In Other Professional Journals” column in the Modern Language Journal. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and was named Distinguished Education Alumna by Purdue University. Christine has served ILCF in many capacities including that of Past Chair.
