Natalie Lovick

Natalie Lovick, Associate Professor, worked at the DLI for a total of 21 years as an instructor of Russian, supervisor of Russian Continuation Training, Russian FLO test writer and Faculty Development Specialist. From 2007 until her retirement from DLI in December 2012, Natalie worked as Academic Specialist in the European and Latin American School presenting workshops and training language teachers who taught French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Serbian-Croatian. She also conducted Team Building workshops for the Spanish and Russian Departments. Before joining DLI for the second time in 2002, Natalie worked for 21 years as Russian Instructor and Program Head at the Monterey Institute of International Studies where she taught all levels of Russian. She coordinated the MIIS 9-week Summer Intensive Russian Language Program in Monterey for many years and also accompanied her Russian students to the Moscow Diplomatic Academy several times for intensive Russian training sessions there. Natalie was also a part of the English program at MIIS and taught English courses to students inĀ the TESOL program. Natalie has a Masters Degree from Northwestern University in Russian and Linguistics and a second Masters Degree from the Monterey Institute of International Studies in Teaching Foreign Languages.
